					Welcome to the HCMA website. The website has been designed to be accessed by parents, carers and childminders and contains a wealth of information from photographs of HCMA events and days out in our photo gallery to advice about finding childcare. The website is updated regularly so that you can keep up to date at the touch of a button and keep informed about HCMA meetings, training courses on offer and keep in contact with colleagues around the county via the message board. We hope you like what you see and would welcome your feedback. Please let us know what you think of the site and your ideas for improvement either via our email address or via the message board.

					The most recent addition to the site is a lovely Christmas angels activity which is suitable for younger and older children alike and is an ideal activity to try out during the Christmas holidays. The activity sheet can be downloaded from the Childminders resources section of the website.

					About Us

					The Herefordshire Childminding Association (HCMA) came into being over 20 years ago, initially to provide support and training for childminders in Herefordshire. Since its conception the role of the Association has changed with much of the training on offer in the County being provided by the Herefordshire Council and supported by the Childminding Team. The HCMA works closely with the Childminding Support Team to promote all aspects of childminding including the promotion of good standards of practice throughout Herefordshire.

					A vital part of the role of the Association is to provide a ‘voice’ for Herefordshire childminders at both a local and national level as well as providing childminders with an opportunity to take advantage of days out and social events for themselves as well as the children and families that they work with.
